Tool 08 / File-to-quote workflow
Turn a Bambu Studio print file into a transparent quote.
Open a .gcode.3mf locally, keep unknown fields unknown, then combine verified slicer values with your rates to calculate cost and a minimum selling price.
Choose a sliced print file.
The file is opened only on this device. There is no upload, storage, or account sign-in.
Supports: .gcode.3mf exported by Bambu Studio · 100 MB maximumChoose a file to show only values it contains.
Missing values are not guessed; they are marked ‘Not available in file.’
Manual input · for the next costing step
Detailed weights are never inferred.
Depending on the Bambu Studio version and settings, model/support/flush/prime-tower weight may not be reliably separable. Record it only when you can verify it in the slicer summary.
Cost & quote workflow
Carry the file result through to a minimum selling price.
Material = total g ÷ 1,000 × price/kgElectricity = hours × average W ÷ 1,000 × rate/kWhFailure-adjusted cost = direct cost ÷ (1 − failure rate)Minimum price = adjusted cost ÷ (1 − fee rate − target margin)The file and inputs are not sent to a server, analytics service, or the site operator. Only ‘Send to Print Job Log’ creates a temporary local draft in this browser.
How to use it
From sliced plate to a readable record.
- Slice the final plate in Bambu Studio.
Choose the printer, process, filament slots and color sequence you intend to use.
- Export the sliced plate.
Use the Bambu Studio export option that creates a filename ending in
.gcode.3mf. - Choose the file above.
Your browser opens the archive in memory and displays only recognized metadata. Nothing is sent to this site.
- Verify before quoting.
Compare the result with the slicer summary. Add detailed model, support, flush and tower grams manually only when the slicer exposes them.
Privacy, support & limits
The boundary is part of the tool.
Private by design: this page has no file-upload request. Analysis and calculation happen in browser memory. The selected file and entered rates are not transmitted, included in analytics, or used as operator evidence. Choosing “Send to Print Job Log” creates only a temporary local draft on this device.
Supported format: sliced .gcode.3mf archives exported by Bambu Studio, up to 100 MB. Ordinary project .3mf, raw .gcode, password-protected/corrupt archives and vendor variants are not supported.
Version limit: Bambu Studio can change comment names and archive contents. A value is shown only when a recognized field is present. “Not available in file” does not mean the print uses zero material or zero tool changes.
Quote limit: the result is a planning reference based on your entries. Tax, shipping, packaging, discounts and minimum order rules are not silently invented.

Method & primary reference
Independent metadata reading—not copied slicer code.
The implementation reads ZIP entries and plain-text metadata independently. It does not copy or run Bambu Studio source code. Bambu Studio itself is AGPL-3.0 licensed; the official repository identifies the application and its evolving upstream format.
